Another glance to the clock on his phone. It was already nearly an hour. Honestly, he hadn’t noticed the time too much since he had found himself absorbed in the book that was settled on the table next in front of him. Blue eyes shifted to check out the front window of the cafe for his date to no avail. Had he been stood up? It wouldn’t have been the first time but… 

Just to double-check, he sent his date another text before sliding the mobile device in his pocket and moving to get some more hot water for his tea and eventually resuming in his reading. He’d give them another half hour or so and if they didn’t show, well, then he’d just have to enjoy himself and get some dessert while he was here.
